Samantha Wills has been in the spotlight as one of Australia’s most dynamic speakers and creative personalities since launching her self-titled jewellery brand at Australian Fashion Week in 2004, at just 21 years of age. 

After 15 years, and stating that she felt the SAMANTHA WILLS jewellery brand had achieved all it had set out to do, Wills announced that she was closing the jewellery business in January 2019 to focus on her profile work as a speaker, writer and creative.

Passionate about supporting women in business, Wills continues her work with the SamanthaWillsFoundation.org, and is an advocate for gender equality and conscious kindness.

Based in New York City where she is currently writing her first book, Samantha travels globally as a creative ambassador and keynote speaker.

“Who you are right now is the most perfectly imperfect, bravely resilient, ever evolving, unfolding, beautifully unique masterpiece of a soul, made exactly the way you are — to give love and be loved” That is what the scrawley note in the top right hand corner says. I wrote it to myself the day I started writing my business memoir (out next year w @allenandunwin) and it’s been pinned above my desk ever since. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Working on creative projects is not foreign to me, but the process on this one was like no other I have experienced. The recalling of events in your life that held turmoil (and as such - with time - many lessons), times of a hurting heart and darkness is a very confronting process to retell to the page, let alone the world. But I believe it is important for us to tell our stories. Not just mine, everyone’s. I know my platforms have a strong following of female entrepreneurs and I take the responsibility to share the story behind the story of my entrepreneurial journey, and that’s what I’ve poured my heart into on this project. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Before we launch / submit / reveal a project we have been working on birthing into the world, the vile voice of doubt and fear pipe up to obnoxious levels of hindrance (well I know they do for me!) They lurked around my computer most of the 300+ days that I sat down to write this book. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I don’t know if they ever will not. But I’ve come to accept their presence, but not their words. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I wanted to share this part of the process in case you are working on something you are preparing to bring into the world and you too have the same pesky old-mates in your ear also. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I want to let you know that the world needs what you’ve got. That’s why The Universe delivered the idea to you in the first place. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Keep going with it. And as someone once said to me in the early days of this project, every page you write will make you feel metaphorically and physically lighter. 148,000 words. 1000 plus cups of coffee. One deadline extension and one huge stack of paper containing one massive part of my journey. My first draft manuscript for my business memoir was submitted today! While this pile of papers is a weight on my chest, the words on them actual have taken an incredible weight off it. it’s been a journey, not only to where I find myself today, but the actual journey of writing memoir is like no other process I’ve experienced. It feels like the true meeting of my personal and creative worlds. Excited to share it with you next year. Ok. Now, into editing! -SWx

Designing jewellery for fifteen years, Bali has never inspired me creatively. Unlike other destinations that I would go to find ideas, I would visit Bali to allow my creative seeking mind to stop for a moment and in doing so...allowed for ideas to find me. ⠀ ⠀ To me, that is the most magical type of inspiration. ⠀✨ ⠀ ⠀ In my time in Bali on this visit, I immersed in sunshine. —- Not just sitting with the sun on my skin, but in many ways. ⠀ Mindfulness. Laughter. Local food. Energy. Book pages. Ideas. Thoughts…. (annnnd a day at Waterbom Water Park where I lined up with hundred of little kids, and screamed down really big waterslides.) ⠀ ⠀ Hoping sunshine finds you this weekend. In all its many forms - SWx
