Love is... Finding your soul-mate, a good coffee and a free brownie all in the one place, and that is exactly what happened when Rachel met Dan. The beautiful couple met when Rachel (a student at the time) would frequent a city café, owned by Dan. He sent out a free brownie one day, and the rest is history!
This romantic flair carried through into the proposal, seeing Rachel being flown by helicopter to a secluded lakeside deck at the Sirromet Winery, Dan awaiting her arrival with rose in hand, on bended knee. He asked the question, and she said yes.
The picturesque ceremony was held in Osteria’s garden on the Northern NSW coastal town of Casuarina, surrounded by 70 of their closest friends and family, who then joined the newlyweds for the reception in the refinery.
Rachel wore an exquisitely detailed gown from Anna Campbell, and was surrounded by her stunning navy-dressed bridesmaids who perfectly matched Dan and the groom party’s navy and tan attire. Her accessories for the day included a matching Anna Campbell cuff, and SAMANTHA WILLS earrings for some understated elegance.
Every aspect of the day reflected the couple; from Rachel’s handwritten invitations and signage to the salted caramel, red velvet and mocha cake - lovingly created by Dan himself the morning of the wedding. The couple exchanged vows they had written, and then joined their guests to share a night of feasting and dancing beneath a canopy of lights and flora.
Lawn games were enjoyed; with a giant connect four and live music seeing everybody up on the dance floor, with the couple sharing their memorable first dance to I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz. The newlyweds later made their departure through a sea of sparklers, and jetted off to romantic Paris and London for their honeymoon as Mr & Mrs.
