As the rain cleared and the sun hit the shores of Pittwater, Sydney, Hayley and Dylan tied the knot. The location, with its breathtaking backdrop, was extremely special for the couple. Hayley and Dylan chose the Boathouse Palm Beach for its effortless style and eclectic mix-match of color, combined with beautiful raw materials. They stressed how special this venue was for them, with it being perfect for a relaxed cocktail wedding.
Hayley talks of the moment when she saw Dylan standing at the end of aisle gazing back at her, and how nervous she felt. She was excited for what was ahead. Onlookers talked of how the couple had such a beautiful glow about them, knowing how happy they would be, growing old together.
The couple used a reading from ‘Love Monkey’, which was a cute and fun touch to the day. At the end of the night the couple was whisked away on a water taxi, and was able to look back at the stunning wharf, lit up with big white lanterns and all the people they loved, waving them off, giving their blessings.
The bride radiated effortless style in her flowing Lisa Gowing gown and simple soft pink sandals. Hayley’s bridal bouquet was a beautiful feature of her look, with trailing greens featuring a mix of peonies, jasmine and roses all in white. Linking in with the natural styling of the day, Hayley wore her hair out with loose, slightly messy waves and a large white rose at the back. Hayley, who doesn’t wear much jewelry, knew she wanted something special to wear for the wedding. Eventually she came across ‘the most stunning piece of hand jewelry... I had never seen anything like it, and it was the perfect statement piece for me,’ and so, the SAMANTHA WILLS Seven Sundays slave bracelet became her statement accessory.
The bridesmaids also wore white, which made for a beautifully contrasting bridal party shoot on the shores of Pittwater. Of Hayley’s five bridesmaids, three were beautifully pregnant, which inspired the idea to have two different dress styles, all from one of her own bridesmaid’s boutiques, Splice in Freshwater, Sydney. The glowing pregnant ladies wore pleated flowing Zimmerman dresses, and her two sisters wore dresses by Camilla and Marc.
The day was made personal with a bird theme, carried through from the engagement invites to the wedding invites. The couple even had an antique birdcage as the wishing well. Personifying their unique quirkiness, they offered a lolly bar which was a hit not only with the kids, but with the adults as well. Photographer Tim Pascoe captured the day perfectly, even those candid moments without the couple knowing.
A feature of the day was also the two-tiered cake which was made by a friend. With the cocktail setting, the couple danced the night away to a three-piece band, the Martini Club.
Hayley wore a simple and stunning Lisa Gowing rosewater silk chiffon gown. It featured a strapless hand rouched bodice with a delicate flowing skirt and sweeping train.
Hayley wore the SAMANTHA WILLS Seven Sundays Bracelet which her beautiful bridesmaids bought for her as a wedding present. The glowing bride said ‘it was a perfect addition to set off my relatively simple dress.’
With flowers being a focus, Hayley had a large trailing bouquet in whites and greens, featuring her two favorite flowers, peonies and jasmine.
